Can you believe the first half of the semester is almost over? All of us at KCSA know how busy you all are and appreciate all the hard work you have been doing! Keep it up!
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of ushering The Tempest. I thought it was an amazing show, both in the acting and the technical aspects. I have seen The Tempest twice before but I thoroughly enjoyed the different take on how the character of Ariel was portrayed. Usually playing by either a man or a woman, this production had the part played by six different actors which gave Ariel a more nymph/spirit feel which greatly added to the supernatural elements of the play. The characters of Stefano and Trinculo were executed perfectly and delivered many laughs.
The coming weeks for the Krannert Center will hold the iconic opera, Falstaff. It will be sung in the original Italian with English subtitles.
I hope everyone enjoys their last few weeks before Thanksgiving!
